Chicago Farmer's Market Schedule

Hello, We're John and Pat Sondgeroth and we own and operate Heartland Meats Inc. as well as our Century-Old grain and livestock farm in rural Mendota, Illinois. My great grandfather, John Sondgeroth, established our farm in 1903. My grandfather, Charles, and Father, Robert, continued to build up and improve the farm over the years. We have been farming since 1978 and have operated this family farm since 1987. In order to diversify our 21st century farm, we've  chosen  to raise and process a specialty beef called Piedmontese, and sell it directly to you, fresh frozen. To do this we set up our own federally inspected processing plant south of Mendota, where we process only our beef. We do this under U.S.D.A. inspection, which means we have a federal inspector inspect our plant on a daily basis. Our product carries a federal label stating that our meat is "All Natural" and "Raised Without the Use of Added Hormones." Some of the advantages of our great tasting specialty beef, besides being exceptionally lean and tender, are as follows:
